The 2010 Season of the Northeast Church Project is scheduled for 1-30 July 2010. The 2010 season inaugurates a new five-year project. In 2010, the Concordia Team will work exclusively in the northeast quadrant of the excavation area exposing a large paved plaza, staircase and colonnaded room that may unlock some of the history of the usage of the site now occupied by the Northeast Church complex. The excavation project is rigorous, requiring that volunteers be in excellent health and able to do heavy work. Registration deadline 1 April 2010. The links at the left provide more information. This year's dig features one optional trip. After the first week, team members are invited to join Dr. Schuler for a tour of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Day trips may also be scheduled. The official travel agent for the Concordia team is Minnetonka Travel. Students and new volunteers must make their travel bookings with Concordia's agent. Are you curious about digging?
